A hot weekend in Europe not only provided high temperatures, but also great competition between European badminton players in Minsk. The VICTOR players achieved fantastic results and fought their way up the podium several times.
Both VICTOR player Cheryl Seinen and her double partner Selena Piek (WD) won the title, as did Anders Antonsen, who won the men's final against Frenchman Brice Leverdez.
Kirsty Gilmour narrowly missed out on the title in the women's singles and, thanks to her great performance, won silver after Line Kjearsfeldt had to admit defeat in an exciting semi-final. She leaves Minsk with a well-deserved bronze medal.
Bronze also went to VICTORian Robin Tabeling and his doubles partner Helle Maas.
Seidel/ Lamsfuß (MD), Thygesen/Fruergaard (WD), as well as Thygesen/Nohr and Tabeling/ Piek (XD) reached the quarter finals.
We are happy about the fantastic results and congratulate all players on their performances during this exciting tournament weekend. Our player Cheryl Seinen became not only European Champion in women's doubles but also aunt. Congratulations and all the best!
